The State of Gaplastovia is the successor state to the revived Principality of Gapla formed on 28 February 2019 by a group led by Wyatt Baek.

Known as the birthplace of the Federated States of Gapla and home to the national capital city of New Gaplastovia, the State of Gaplastovia traces its roots back to the Republic of Gapla in the United Republics of Gapla and Phoenix, fonuded on 24 August 2015, the revival of the Republic of Gapla as the Principality of Gapla on 28 February 2019, and the birth of the Federated States of Gapla on Union Day, 7 March 2019.

Following the Danubian reformations in 2022 and 2023 and the subsequent unification of Gaplastovia and Cristus on 29 October 2023, the State of Gaplastovia came to occupy the former terra nullius known as “pocket 2,” and is scheduled to be the first state visited during the upcoming expedition and the home of the first settlers.
